Selecting from the range below should be informed by the hospitality business's specific needs, brand identity, and location characteristics. Pavement Signs Swing Pavement Signs These signs are designed to swing gently in the wind, grabbing attention through movement. Typically manufactured with a stable metal frame and a water- or sand-fillable base for additional stability, they are perfect for outdoor use where wind presence is a consideration. The panel usually allows for printed graphics or can be a chalkboard for easily changeable messaging. Water-Based Pavement Signs With a heavy-duty base that can be filled with water or sand to ensure stability, these signs are ideal for withstanding more challenging weather conditions. The base supports a double-sided display featuring posters behind weatherproof covers or a permanent print. A-Frame Pavement Signs A popular choice for ease of setup and storage, A-frame pavement signs can be made of metal, plastic, or wood, offering different aesthetic appeals. They are lightweight and portable, making them perfect for businesses that must bring in their signage during non-operating hours. A Boards Standard A Boards These A boards are the quintessential sign for footpath advertising. Usually double-sided, they offer excellent visibility for passing foot traffic. The frames are typically aluminium, making them lightweight and rust-resistant – a considerable advantage for outdoor use. Wooden A Boards Offering a rustic charm, wooden A boards are attractive to establishments like boutique cafes or eateries looking to add a traditional or homey touch to their facade. While they may require more maintenance to keep them weather-resistant, they stand out for their classic look and natural appeal. Metal A Boards Metal A boards are robust and designed for longevity. They come in various finishes, including powder-coated options to match a brand’s colour scheme. Many metal A boards also feature snap frames for quickly changing printed materials. Chalkboard A Boards Classic Chalkboard A Boards These provide a vintage or artisanal feel to an establishment’s messaging. They are favoured for their ease of content change – a simple wipe-down, and they can be rewritten with daily specials, messages, or promotions. These boards are particularly popular with cafes and restaurants for their quaint aesthetic and the personal touch that handwritten messaging conveys. Considerations for Hospitality Usage Durability: For any hospitality business, durability is critical due to the frequent changes in outdoor conditions. Pavement signs and A-boards should be made of weather-resistant materials. Portability: Easy-to-move signs are essential for placement flexibility and compliance with local pavement advertising regulations. Ease of Message Change: For venues like restaurants and cafes, where daily specials and promotions change regularly, the ability to quickly and easily update the message is crucial. Compliance: Ensuring that all pavement signs comply with local advertising laws, including size restrictions and placement rules is essential. Branding: The style of the pavement sign or A board should complement the establishment’s branding and aesthetic, providing a consistent and attractive look.
