It frequently uses baking and cooking scenarios where the concern is food sticking to surfaces. On the flip side, greaseproof paper remains untreated but boasts remarkable resistance to oil and fat absorption, making it a suitable choice for wrapping items with higher fat content. Both types are available in rolls, but you can procure them in pre-cut sheets or circles for convenience. Advantages of Employing Baking and Greaseproof Paper The most evident benefit of using baking paper is its non-stick attribute. This eliminates the need for additional greasing of baking trays or dishes, consequently reducing the fat content in the food and simplifying cleanup. It's also oven-safe, typically able to withstand temperatures up to 450°F (230°C), lending versatility to various cooking and baking endeavours. Greaseproof paper shares many of these advantages but truly excels in its resistance to grease and oil penetration. It is often employed for wrapping foods prone to leakage or staining, providing additional protection. Both varieties of paper are food-safe and contribute to a more hygienic kitchen environment by serving as disposable barriers between the food and cooking surfaces. Also, both are biodegradable, offering an eco-friendly alternative to plastics or foils. Typical Applications in the Hospitality Sector Baking paper is used as a non-stick surface for baking sheets and pans. It proves ideal for baking cookies, pastries, cakes, and cooking fish or roasting vegetables. Its non-stick property lends itself well to more intricate culinary techniques such as en papillote cooking, where food is enclosed within a folded pouch. In commercial settings, it functions as a liner in trays for buffet service, simplifying the post-service cleanup. Greaseproof paper predominantly finds utility in wrapping and packaging. In restaurants or delis, it is often used to wrap sandwiches, burgers, or pastries, preserving their freshness and preventing grease or fillings from seeping. Also, it is a common choice for lining takeaway boxes or as interleaving sheets for stacked food items like pancakes or cutlets. Overall, both baking and greaseproof paper offer distinct advantages in the realm of hospitality. While they serve differing primary purposes, non-stick and resisting grease play a pivotal role in preserving food quality, streamlining kitchen operations, and upholding hygiene standards. Whether you manage a commercial kitchen, bakery, or fast-food establishment, these specialized papers are indispensable tools that enhance efficiency and versatility in your operations.Additional informationPack Size Qty200BrandChevlerColourPatternedMaterialPaperDimensions250(W) x 250(L)mmRangeGreaseproof PaperWeight0.57 kg Related products Sale!
