Privacy & Cookies

What we collect

  • Contact data you send us (e.g. name, email) when you contact us.
  • Server logs (IP address, user agent, request metadata) for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
  • Optional analytics data (such as page views, device or browser information, and approximate location) when you consent to Google Analytics.
  • Bot verification data for protected feeds (e.g. IP range checks, ASN validation).

Why we collect it (lawful basis)

  • Legitimate interests to operate a secure, reliable service and respond to enquiries.
  • Legal obligations where required by law.

Retention

  • Contact enquiries: typically up to 24 months.
  • Server and verification logs: typically up to 90 days, unless required for security investigations.

Sharing

We use trusted infrastructure providers (e.g. hosting, CDN, email) acting as processors under our instructions. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or data portability where applicable. Requests can be made by emailing contact@scrubnet.org. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

International transfers

Where data is processed outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies and analytics consent

Optional analytics are consent-based. Google Analytics is loaded only after you select “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you reject analytics, it is not loaded. Your choice is stored locally in your browser and can be reset by clearing this site’s data.

Terms of Use

Scope

These Terms govern your use of scrubnet.org and any structured data feeds we publish (“Feeds”). By accessing or using the site or Feeds, you agree to these Terms.

Acceptable use

  • Do not disrupt, overload, scrape excessively, or attempt to bypass access controls.
  • Respect our robots.txt and any published machine-readable rules.
  • Do not use the site or Feeds for unlawful purposes or to infringe third-party rights.

Licensing of Feeds

Unless otherwise stated, Feeds are provided “as is” for indexing, research, and interoperability purposes. You remain responsible for complying with any third-party rights referenced by source content. We may modify, rate-limit, or withdraw Feeds at any time.

Definitions

A “Website” refers to a single domain or subdomain submitted by a subscriber for processing by ScrubberDuck. A “URL” refers to a unique HTTP(S) address discovered through declared sitemaps or internal links. Redirects are counted by their final resolved destination.

Subscriptions & Payments

  • We offer a single standard subscription: £5 per month per website, billed monthly in advance.
  • Subscriptions are processed via a third-party payment provider (e.g. Stripe). We do not store card details.
  • The subscription covers up to 50,000 URLs per website under normal and reasonable use. Excessive or abusive crawling patterns may be throttled to protect service quality.
  • Cancellations: you may cancel at any time. Service continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partially used periods unless required by law.
  • Taxes: prices are shown in GBP. VAT will be applied where legally required and clearly shown on invoices.
  • Price changes: we will give at least 30 days’ notice before changing subscription pricing.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses. Any direct liability is limited to the total fees paid to Scrubnet Ltd in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
