Shaped, treated and finished by hand, each English-oak board boasts its own, unique look that adds a natural charm to any table setting – giving you tableware that’s as special as the food it serves. And, as the board has been treated with an antibacterial oil, it’s also incredibly hygienic and durable! This allows your board to be washed, used and stored in commercial settings without becoming damaged. Plus, they’re eco-friendly too! Made from sustainably sourced, fallen English oak, the boards are kinder to the Earth’s finite resources than mass-produced alternatives! Are wooden boards safe to eat from? According to the Food Standards Agency, wooden boards are perfectly safe to eat from – as long as they’re cleaned correctly. A few concerns have been raised over the potential risk of bacteria build up in their natural notches and grooves, but again, as long as you properly clean your boards, they can be safely used for serving food. How do you clean wooden serving boards? To ensure your boards are food safe, wash them in warm water with an antibacterial washing up liquid.
